The gardeners of St Peter’s would like to thank the staff and customers of Asda at Southport’s Central 12 shopping centre for their support.
Customers at the store have been placing their green tokens into the ‘Quiet Garden’ container to vote for us in a recent group of three local projects chosen for Asda Foundation community grants.
This morning our Curate, Revd Andrew Dowsett, was presented with a cheque for £50 by Sharon Gregory-Wareing, Asda’s Community Life Champion, with Dennis Whalley, Sue Hiley, Paul Davies and Bob France also in attendence. Look out for our photo in the local press!
The store are now giving customers a chance to vote for three more local projects. But Sharon is looking forward to continued partnership with our gardeners. And we also hope that in raising our profile, we might be able to welcome more visitors, too.
