We believe that prayer is key to our working with God to see his world transformed. We also recognise that there are different ways of praying, perhaps suitable for different personalities.
At our Sunday services, we pray for the needs of the world and of the wider Church. These ‘intercessions’ are often led by a member of the church. Sometimes everyone gets to share what is on our hearts, and we pray together with those around us.
Our Prayer Ministry team are always happy to pray with you healing (or any other purpose!) after our main Sunday Services in the Lady Chapel. Please introduce yourself to one of our team after the Service.
In addition to prayer as an integral part of Sunday services and mid-week home groups, we set aside other opportunities to pray together.
Prayer Group
A prayer group meets every Tuesday in one of our Prayer Leaders’ homes at 7:30pm. Please speak to our group leaders at a Sunday service.
Corporate Prayer
Third Sunday of each month, 4:00pm in the Parish Centre. An opportunity to listen to God together.
First Friday of each month, 11:00am in the Vestry. Entry via the office.
Prayer for Birkdale
We join with other churches each month to pray for our community of Birkdale. Usually second or third Monday at 10am. Check our ‘News’ section to find out when and where the next one is!
